With over 30 years of combined expertise in managing and developing agricultural estates, Javier has the passion to provide excellence. His journey in the agricultural industry began as a 14-year-old boy, where he was lectured by his dad on the importance of efficiency in order to make the most out of a day. Over the years, Javier found himself able to break the language barrier common to the farmer – worker relationship, which allowed him to lead as a foreman for Rotie Cellars & DL & JJ Farms Inc.
As a foreman, Javier worked through the transition of fruit tree crops to vineyard developments that are now the face of the Walla Walla area. The recent spike of interest attracted many investors interested in the potential the area offers, which allowed Javier into developing skills in maintaining multiple productive vineyards. Throughout the year Javier manages crew sizes of 10 to 30, depending on the labor needed. From pruning vineyards early spring, harvesting cherries during the summer, and harvesting vineyards and apple orchards throughout the fall. His experience expands to all lines of agriculture labor the Walla Walla area offers.

An Alumni of the Walla Walla Community College Enology & Viticulture program. Part of the winemaking/harvest team for Doubleback in 2008 & Napa Valley Reserve in 2020. In addition, he’s worked with, Brook & Bull, Vital, Patina Vineyards, Rotie Cellars & Cayuse.
